Tillery Compassionate Care recognized as one of the Best Places to Work in Healthcare in 2025
This honor is limited to only 152 healthcare providers in the United States

(October 14, 2025) Hospice of Stanly County, doing business as Tillery Compassionate Care, has once again earned national recognition in the Modern Healthcare Best Places to Work program, ranking an impressive 7th among the top 76 healthcare providers in the country. The honor was announced at the annual Best Places to Work gala held in Nashville, Tennessee on October 8.
“We are incredibly proud to be ranked 7th nationally—it’s a testament to the heart and dedication of our entire team,” said Lori Thayer, CEO of Tillery Compassionate Care. “Our staff brings compassion, purpose, and excellence to everything they do. This recognition reflects the culture we’ve built together—one that values people, celebrates impact, and puts patients and families at the center of our mission.”
The Best Places to Work program highlights exceptional employers across the healthcare industry. In partnership with Workforce Research Group, Modern Healthcare conducts a rigorous evaluation process that includes comprehensive employee surveys.

Key areas of engagement assessed include alignment with core values and mission, health benefits, flexible scheduling, workplace culture, employee retention strategies, and recognition of achievements.
Congratulations to our team at TCC for winning the Best Places to Work Award three years in a row,” said Kayren Brantley, Chairman of the Board of Directors. “The work you do is never easy, but your joy and dedication to your work is felt by both patients, their loved ones, as well as our community.”
