Birdie Benefit Golf Tournament at Tillery Tradition Country Club Supports Tillery Compassionate Care

Albemarle, NC (September 22, 2025) – On Monday, September 15, golf players, sponsors, and volunteers from the Stanly & Montgomery County region gathered at Tillery Tradition Country Club for the annual Birdie Benefit Tournament—a favorite tournament of the region. The funds raised during this tournament will directly support services not fully covered by Medicare—ensuring that individuals and families facing serious illness receive the compassionate care they need, regardless of coverage or financial circumstances.
“We are truly grateful for the unwavering support of our community, golfers, and sponsors,” said Lori S. Thayer, RHIA, CLE, Chief Executive Officer of Tillery Compassionate Care. “This event was not only a wonderful experience, but also a powerful reminder of the generosity and dedication of the golfers, our staff, sponsors, and volunteers who made it possible. The positive impact on our community is remarkable, and we are deeply thankful for everyone who continues to support this long-standing fundraiser.”
One of the teams sponsored by Terri Large won first place, while the team playing for Clint Miller Exterminating earned a second-place award, and a team representing Childress Insurance, a Legacy Partner, finished in third place. Closest to the pin was Sarah Coltrane.
Chief Executive Officer Lori Thayer said, “We certainly thank our community for their support, which enables us to deliver care and improve the quality of life of those we serve.”
