Tillery Compassionate Care, a local nonprofit hospice and palliative care provider based in Stanly County, has been honored as one of only four programs in North Carolina to receive the prestigious Hospice Honors Elite award from MatrixCare.

This annual recognition celebrates hospice organizations that consistently deliver the highest level of quality care, as measured by caregivers’ perspectives. The award is based on the Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) hospice satisfaction survey, which gathers feedback from caregivers about the care their loved ones received.

The Hospice Honors Elite award is presented to hospices that score above the MatrixCare National Performance Score on all 24 evaluated questions in the CAHPS survey. Agencies that score above the National Performance Score on at least 20 of the 24 questions are honored with the Hospice CAHPS Honors distinction, while those achieving perfect scores across all measures earn the Hospice Honors Elite recognition.
