Celebrating Love, While Living with Loss

Valentine’s Day is often filled with hearts, flowers, and reminders of love. But when you’re grieving, it can also highlight the absence of someone deeply missed. Days like this have a way of bringing memories to the surface — sometimes sweet, sometimes painful, often both at the same time.
If this holiday feels heavy, you’re not alone. Grief doesn’t pause for special occasions, and it’s okay to acknowledge that. Giving yourself space to feel whatever comes up — whether that’s sadness, gratitude, anger, or even moments of peace — is a meaningful part of healing.
Love doesn’t end just because a life has ended. The connection you shared still matters. However, this day unfolds for you, try to meet yourself with patience and compassion.
