The Senior VP, Clinical Operations is the organization’s senior clinical operations leader, reporting directly to the CEO and responsible for all hospice and palliative care services, including intake, access, care delivery, quality, and interdisciplinary team performance. Guided by our mission and values, the SVP serves as a visible champion of our culture—modeling compassion, accountability, collaboration, and respect in every interaction—while partnering closely with organizational leadership to ensure clinically excellent, compliant, and patient-centered care. This role leads and develops clinical managers and coordinators, fostering a high‑trust, mission‑driven environment where teams feel supported, engaged, and empowered to deliver their best work. The SVP plays a critical role in advancing clinical quality, workforce engagement, and sustainable service delivery by aligning operational excellence with a strong, values‑based culture. As a steward of both performance and purpose, this role shapes how our patients, families, and team members experience care at the most vulnerable moments of life—ensuring timely access, clinical excellence, and compassionate, mission‑driven service across every point of the hospice and palliative care journey.

Essential Job Duties include but are not limited to the following:

    • 1.  Model TCC’s values and always elevate TCC’S mission and vision in the performance of the leadership role.
    • 2. Work to achieve organizational performance goals and be a good steward of organizational resources, including financial resources, by maintaining an awareness of all budgetary items and current performance.
    • 3. Design care delivery models, processes, and systems, ensuring an exceptional patient and family care experience in both the hospice and palliative care programs.
    • 4. Ensure clinical practice meets the needs of patients and families and that TCC’s quality outcomes demonstrate a Hospice Elite commitment.
    •  5. Demonstrate expertise in the clinical model benchmark from Multi-View Incorporated with the ability to apply consistently relevant factors to TCC’s clinical model.
    • 6. Recruit, hire and support the professional development of clinical staff and leaders and coach them to higher levels of performance.
    • 7. Demonstrate clinical expertise in the execution of the nursing process and directs staff in its application to promote safe, effective, and appropriate care.
    • 8.Functions as a role model in the area of clinical specialty, demonstrating competency in clinical judgement, technical skills and appropriate knowledge base to lead and guide staff.
    • 9. Collaborate with the Quality Manager to ensure that all quality, informatics, EMR, and clinical operations processes support surveys, audits, CHAP, etc.
    • 10. Promote a culture of excellence through leadership, engagement, accountability, empathy, and teamwork.
    • 11. Represent the organization in outreach and community engagement initiatives; develop genuine relationship with the community, thereby strengthening their confidence in TCC (referral partners, community groups, Emergency Medical Services).

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • ·    Master of Science in Nursing or pursuit of Master’s degree preferred
    • ·    Master’s degree in business, leadership or healthcare related field considered
    •  ·   Minimum of 5 years clinical supervisory experience
    • ·   Valid unrestricted NC Nursing License
    • ·   Valid driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance
