It’s devastating to lose someone you love. It transforms your world, and you’re thankful that you made precious memories during the end of your loved one’s journey.
The grieving process is different for everyone, and we never want you to feel like you are alone during this difficult and transformative time.
Our bereavement support services are here to help your entire family. We offer grief support from specially trained bereavement counselors to all family members for 13 months following the loss of your loved one.
Bereavement Counseling Helps You Treasure Memories and Cope With Grief
There is no right or wrong way to experience grief. No one should tell you how you’re “supposed” to feel, and there is no timeline for how long the grieving process takes.
At Tillery Compassionate Care, our bereavement counselors are here for you. We offer counseling either at Tillery Compassionate Care or at your own home. Our counseling services encompass all ages—we have professionals who work with children and teens as well as adults.
Support Groups Provide Connections for Dealing With Grief
Sometimes, it helps to be with others who are facing similar challenges of grief. This lets you know that you are not alone in your struggles. This connection can be comforting and even inspirational at a time when you need it most.
These free groups are open to anyone in our service area who has lost a loved one.

- Our annual Angel Tree Lighting. (You can purchase a hand-crafted angel in memory of a loved one)

- Camp Forget-Me-Not

Camp Forget-Me-Not
Camp Forget-Me-Not is a free bereavement day camp for children ages 6-17 and their families, including at least one parent/guardian who has experienced a death. Children do not need to have had a loved one served by Tillery Compassionate Care in order to participate in Camp Forget-Me-Not.
The camp experience is designed to assist children in coping with death and loss while enjoying a variety of recreational activities. In addition to the exciting activities at camp, children have the opportunity to share their feelings through art, music, crafts and group discussions.
Grief counselors work with parents/guardians to provide a safe environment for the expression of feelings and help the children learn to move forward despite their loss. The goal of camp is to assist children and their families in learning better ways to cope with the loss of a loved one.
Camp Forget-Me-Not is held in April or May each year.

Making every moment count looks different for each individual. We understand that. This is why we provide individualized bereavement support services for your entire family. Because we know even though your loved one may not be with you, cherished memories are still very alive and real.
