Full-time Bereavement Counselor

Tillery Compassionate Care is the area’s only non-profit hospice organization. We are committed to excellence, compassion and dignity for our patients, families, and team members alike. We are hiring a Full-time Bereavement Counselor to co-lead our robust bereavement program. The ideal candidate will possess a master’s in social work, counseling, or a related field. Must have experience in providing counseling and/or grief counseling services to children, adolescents and adults.

Primary responsibilities include providing individual and group counseling for bereaved clients, coordinating and supervising the bereavement program for the families of hospice patients and community bereavement clients, coordinating bereavement events and community grief education, functioning as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team and providing a supportive atmosphere in which bereaved persons are encouraged to share their experiences of loss as they journey through the grieving process.

40 hours per week- Pay range $20-$30 per hour

Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

At Tillery Compassionate Care, we celebrate life in everything we doAs the areas only non-profit hospice and palliative care organization, we are committed to excellence, compassion and dignity for our patients, families, and team members alikeWe are hiring a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our palliative care team to provide psychosocial support for seriously ill patients and their familiesThe position is 30 hours per week.  Responsibilities include performing psychosocial assessments, education and completion of advance care planning, supportive counseling, and bridging gaps with community resourcesThe ideal candidate will have at least one (2) years’ experience in long-term care, palliative, hospice social work; strong communication and counseling skills that encompass patients and families facing serious illness; and be willing to pursue APHSW-C (Advanced Palliative and Hospice Social Work Certification).  LCSW-A will be considered, and clinical supervision will be offered by Tillery Compassionate Care.

Full-time Registered Nurse (RN)-Thursday-Sunday

We are hiring a Full-time Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. We are a Best Places to Work agency with chosen employees. The schedule is (4) 10-hour days (Thursday – Sunday with shift ending around 8 pm). A day will consist of patient visits, including admissions to hospice services, in private residences, skilled nursing centers and assisted living communities.  It will involve symptom management advice, self-care interventions, and identifying resources. 

The candidate will be working with a team of two other nurses coordinating care. Applicants must have 5 years of acute care experience; hospice or home care experience is strongly preferred.  Must have current NCBON licensing without restriction.
