At Tillery Compassionate Care, we celebrate life in everything we do. As the area’s only non-profit hospice and palliative care organization, we are committed to excellence, compassion and dignity for our patients, families, and team members alike. We are hiring a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our palliative care team to provide psychosocial support for seriously ill patients and their families. The position is 30 hours per week. Responsibilities include performing psychosocial assessments, education and completion of advance care planning, supportive counseling, and bridging gaps with community resources. The ideal candidate will have at least one (2) years’ experience in long-term care, palliative, hospice social work; strong communication and counseling skills that encompass patients and families facing serious illness; and be willing to pursue APHSW-C (Advanced Palliative and Hospice Social Work Certification). “’Hospice work is too sad for me.’ This is a common misconception. While I am sometimes sad for our patients and their families, the rewards of a career at hospice far outweigh any temporary sorrow.”
