Our Team
We spark inspiration, hope, and peace enabling individuals with serious illness to embrace their spirit of life.
Our team members have many different roles. We employ highly trained and caring professionals to ensure the best care possible to support you.
Together, we form a seamless organization that puts you and your family first. We each have our individual roles, but we come together to provide comprehensive and holistic care. We honor your choices on how to live your life your way. We believe in open and honest communication, and our medical team is available 24/7 should any issue arise.
Our Tillery Compassionate Care Team Members Include:
- Physicians & Nurse Practitioners: Specially trained in hospice and palliative care who direct your course of treatment. You can choose to include your regular doctor, a nurse practitioner, or a physician assistant on your medical team as the attending medical professional.
- Nurses: Experienced in following your plan of care to manage pain, wounds, and other symptoms that are associated with chronic disease and end-of-life care. They are trained to recognize the dying process and realize we only get one chance to get it right for the patient and family.
- CNAs: These members of our team assist patients with daily activities, personal care and hygiene, and closely monitor your health status. They provide the most intimate care, loving you through your journey. We call them our angels.
- Social Workers: There’s a lot of information and services you need to make decisions—and this challenging point in your life makes that difficult. Our social workers closely help you navigate to ensure nothing is overlooked. They also assist with advance care planning and resource coordination.
- Chaplains: While we are not a religious organization, we’ve found that spiritual matters are very important to many of our patients and families. Therefore, our hospice chaplains are dedicated to helping you navigate emotions and questions. They facilitate individual spiritual and/or religious wants and practices. They meet you where you are.
- Counselors: You may not realize the intensity of your feelings and processing them is often complex and demanding. Our counselors are there for you.
- Bereavement Services: Tillery Compassionate Care offers a full spectrum of care and counseling, not just to our patient families but to the entire community. The following are components of our bereavement program: Individual counseling provided by licensed counselors in home or office; pre-bereavement services; phone calls; and many specialized events throughout the year.
- Volunteers: They provide comfort, assistance, and companionship.
